moving well on the west side. 60 past 70 down towards edmondson. major roadways checking out just fine. we start in greenspring. you can see the northwest corner of the beltway. you will need some extra time. take your time. do not rush. this is harford road. we will let you know once those delays start to develop. that is the latest on traffic pulse 11. >> the family of a baltimore city man is looking for answers after he dies following an encounter with a police. >> jennifer franciotti is live downtown with more on this. how did this happen? >> this unfolded on friday night. family members said he died on friday night after a

confrontation with police. they claim he was on his way to his granddaughter's birthday party when officers assaulted him. a number of family members witnessed the event. there is a different story. they caught anderson in a drug deal. >> observed him put some type of narcotics in his mouth. they placed him under arrest for that and took a into police custody. he started complaining about discomfort and pain. it was believed he ingested some of the drugs he had and he was choking on them. >> anderson did died a short time later. the officers involved in the arrest have been suspended with pay. police say the investigation is standard any time something like this happens.

p.m. last night. the girl was taken to a hospital for treatment and is expected to be ok. more information as it becomes available. the death of a baltimore city man who died after an encounter with police. >> his family is looking for answers. jennifer franciotti has more details. >> 46-year-old anthony anderson died after a confrontation with police. his family said he was trying to go to a party. this vacant lot is now a memorial to anthony anderson. he died after encountering police on friday night. his family says he was on his way to celebrate his granddaughter's birthday. two officers say they caught them in a drug deal.

>> they observed him put what they suspected to be some type of narcotics in his mouth in an atttempt to hide them. so they placed him under arrest for that, took him into police custody, put handcuffs on him. he then started complaining of discomfort and pain. it was believed at the time that he may have ingested some of the drugs that he had and maybe was choking on them. >> a number of those family members say they watch the arrest on fault in a different fashion. >> i think that they killed him. they picked up and slammed him and i feel they killed him. boom.twin >> his rap sheet includes a number of drug arrests. >> he had a bad hip. >> they said he was faking because he didn't want to go to jail.
